Our services

How can I contact you?

We'd love to chat with you about your plans and how we can help keep things easy. The best way to contact us is by telephone or WhatsApp:

Rachel 021 312 880

Melissa 027 560 5443

You can also email us on info@lessismore.nz  - there's a quick and easy form to do that on our Contacts Page.

How much does it cost?

We know cost is one of the stressful things about downsizing. We will discuss our pricing with you in a transparent way. We charge an hourly rate, comparable with a tradesperson, with a capped daily cost.

Time depends on the size of the project, how much you want us to do and how quickly you want to take things. We can generally give you a clear project price following a consultation at your home.

We also charge a small administration fee for managing tradespeople and we on-charge any waste collection fees at cost.

Do I have to do all the downsizing steps?

No. We help you with the tasks that suit your plans and budget and build a service package personalised to you.

You can also cherry pick parts of our services to suit your needs.

How do I pay?

We ask for a deposit to book our services, part payment on the day we start and the remainder within seven days of us finishing the project.

We provide you with clear invoices and you can pay by internet banking or credit card.

We have families who pay for the service for their parents when they are too busy to give all the time that is needed to get things progressing smoothly.  Simply give us a call and we can discuss how you want to manage payment.

What hours/days do you work?

While there is lots to do, it's still nice for you to have a leisurely start in the mornings. We start work at 9.30am and we will keep going to get the job done on days and at times that suit you.

We generally work Monday - Friday, but if weekends suit you best, we can do that too.

Can I choose my own charity for donating quality items?

Yes. We are happy to contact any charity of your choice to see if they collect donations or deliver items ourselves.  We have our favourites too and we're happy to tell you about them.

Client Feedback

It was so reassuring to meet you ladies and find that nothing about our move would be a problem. You arranged the packing and everything was transported with great care including some very fragile items. The drivers moved our antique furniture carefully and it was great to arrive here and find all our items unpacked and put thoughtfully away. We particularly appreciated all the plastic trays and containers supplied to organise the kitchen. The labelling of our canisters was an added bonus. We cannot recommend your services too highly.

David & Judith, Remuera

The one thing I was dreading the most about moving was the move itself, the sorting decluttering packing and unpacking and then Rachel and Melissa took all that stress of my shoulders. They were so efficient and kind and a pleasure to deal with. I couldn't believe what an incredible job they did and to walk into a fully set up and sorted new home was amazing. I highly recommend them

Alison, Parnell

Rachel and Melissa and their team did a wonderful job over the whole of the moving operation, from their gracious (though sometimes ruthless!) decluttering, efficient packing and moving, through to their creative unpacking and setting up of our new home. They were always a delight to have around, and made the job of relocation so much less stressful and definitely more positive than it could otherwise have been. I thoroughly recommend them.
